A vigorous water loving Iris that looks completely at home in the water of a pond margin. It is a vigorous plant forming thick clumps of sword shaped leaves that can get up to one and a half metres in height. In mid to late summer large bright yellow flowers with brown throats are produced making for an extremely striking sight.

This is a spreading perennial that loves wet, fertile soil. Make sure it is allowed space to grow. As an extra bonus this plant is loved by wildlife.

Plant in full sun to partial shade in moist or boggy soil. Thrives at pond margins or in reliably damp borders. Low maintenance and wildlife-friendly, it pairs well with hostas, ferns, and other moisture-loving plants.
