Citrus Fortunella margarita, commonly known as the Kumquat Tree, is the perfect choice for gardeners looking for something different from more common garden fruit trees. This stunning citrus variety produces small, oval orange Kumquat fruits that can be eaten whole, skin and all, tasting both sweet and a little tangy. The glossy evergreen leaves and fragrant white blossoms make it a visual standout for patios or as a feature in a stylish planter.
Thriving in full sun with well-drained soil, simply water regularly and feed with a citrus fertiliser during the growing season. Move under cover in winter or protect from frost. Ideal for growing in containers, it pairs beautifully with herbs like thyme or rosemary for a Mediterranean-style edible garden.
Ideal for patios, conservatories, and orangeries our trees are nice and bushy with an overall height of around 140-160cms with a clear stem topped off with a head of foliage. Extra large, heavy duty Specimen Trees in 30-40 litre containers.
