Specimen Acer palmatum dissectum Seiryu - Japanese Maple Tree - LARGE circa 1.3-1.5m

Product ref: SP23459

Availability: Out of stock

Seiryu is a fantastic form of Japanese Maple with finely cut bright foliage and an upright habit, making it the perfect choice for a small tree in any garden or patio planter. In spring vibrant, intricate green leaves emerge and turn a bright shade of orange, red, and yellow in the autumn. Its bright sculptural green stems also add winter interest after its leaves have fallen. It has a striking vase shape which broadens slightly to a rounder form with age, eventually reaching a height of up to four metres over twenty years. It is easily maintained at a much smaller size if required. Acer palmatum dissectum Seiryu is a very unusual variety, in that it is the only green dissected Japanese Maple tree with an upright growth habit, rather than the usual weeping form.

This acer is easy to grow preferring partial shade or full sun. Place in moist but well drained soil in a sheltered area to protect from cold winds and leaf scorching.

This larger sized specimen is supplied in an approx. 10-12 litre container.
