Etna is a superior form for the well know laurel, with a denser more compact easy care growth habit, bronze tipped new growth and slightly darker green foliage than traditional laurel varieties. A dense, bushy, evergreen shrub with large glossy, dark green leave, it makes an excellent screening and hedging plant, and can cope with deep shade under trees was well as full sun.
Position: full sun, partial shade or shade Soil: moist but well-drained soil, except shallow chalk
Rate of growth: fast-growing

Garden care: When planting incorporate lots of well-rotted garden compost in the planting hole.
Prune in either spring or summer.
Mature plants can tolerate hard pruning in spring, cutting back to the old wood.
Eventual height: 3-4m Eventual spread: 1.5-2m
Plants are easily maintained at a smaller height and spread by annual trimming.
