Lavatera ‘Red Rum’
Availability: Out of stock
This wonderful variety is clothed in large, rosy-pink flowers with a deeper pink centre, which are carried across the upright habit of this shrub. Lavatera 'Red Rum', which flowers from summer through to autumn, contrasts beautifully against the foliage, creating a bold splash of colour in borders and cottage garden displays. Perfect for adding height, warmth and continuous seasonal interest to sunny planting schemes.
Lavatera performs best in fertile, well-drained soil and a sunny, sheltered position. Regular waterings during prolonged dry periods and deadheading will encourage further blooms. Light pruning after flowering will help maintain a neat shape. Pair with delphiniums and salvias for a colourful cottage-style display, this subshrub is perfect for mixed borders, wildlife gardens and large patio containers.
Supplied in approx. 3 litre containers.
