Nandina domestica 'Filamentosa' - Filigree Sacred Bamboo

This unusual shrub is a low growing version of the highly popular ‘Thread leafed Sacred bamboo’. It is grown for its elegant, bright green thin foliage that flushes red and is evergreen, so will provide your garden with beautiful colour all year round.

‘Filamentosa’ is at its best in autumn when the leaves turn into the lovely shades of red and orange. Also displaying attractive clusters of pale pink flowers this plant is a true all-rounder. The dense mound it forms is ideal for groundcover in borders and is great at highlighting larger shrubs.

Best grown in full sun or partial shade this specimen is easy to grow. Its wind and salt tolerance make it well suited to coastal areas too.
