Euphorbia Blackbird

Euphorbia 'Blackbird' was a chance discovery. It is a velvety deep purple sport of another cultivar called 'Redwing'. The foliage is darkest in full sun and contrasts well with spring flowers. It is a very compact and bushy plant that will provide colour in the garden all year round. Yellowish 'flowers' cover the plant through to late spring. It's an ideal plant for use in a container, when a dramatic statement is required or would combine well with silver foliage.

An award winning plant, it took the prestigious Gold Medal at the Plantarium Exhibition in The Netherlands when first released. Euphorbia Black Bird will grow to around 45 x 50cm (18 x 20inches). Supplied in approx 2 litre containers.
