Tall strong stems bearing chocolate maroon flowers, becoming almost black. This is a unique variety creating an impressive impact against most backgrounds. Flowering mid to late summer. Traditionally associated with cottage-style borders, the dramatic, near-black flowers of this variety work equally well in a contemporary, minimalist garden. Supplied in a 1-2 Litre container. Position: full sun Soil: moderately-fertile, well-drained soil Rate of growth: fast-growing Flowering period: June and July Flower colour: dark chocolate-maroon Other features: the flowers are highly attractive to butterflies and bees Hardiness:fully hardy Garden care:Water well during dry spells.
