Hosta Gold Standard
Availability: Out of stock
One of the most popular golden hostas, 'Gold Standard' has large, heart-shaped leaves that are greenish-yellow at first, turning golden yellow as they age. It is important to give the plant just the right spot as too much sun can lead to the centre of the leaf turning white or even burning, while in too little sun the leaves remain greenish in colour. Hostas benefit from plenty of organic matter being added to the soil before planting. They also enjoy being mulched in spring and autumn to help retain moisture in the soil. For the lushest displays, feed with a balanced fertiliser between March and June. Supplied in approx. 1 litre containers.
