This conical evergreen is a great slow growing tree to give you all year colour and beautiful structural form.
The Blue Spruce is known for its distinctive blue-grey needles which curve upwards and remain all year round, filling your garden with their wonderful spruce scent. This slow growing, dense tree works perfectly in a pot displaying a traditional pyramidal shape that requires very little pruning - hence it is often used as a lovely Christmas Tree. It is also perfectly happy to grow to it's full splendour in the garden.
The blue colour intensifies with age and through the seasons, on more mature trees brown cones appear creating a gorgeous seasonal display. Spruces are loved for the Christmas feel they add to winter gardens and their versatility gives you continuous interest.
This Blus Spruce is very easy to grow, thriving in well-drained acidic or neutral soil and is best planted in full sun. Blue spruces are hardy specimens but would benefit with some shelter from cold and drying winds, and are best kept well watered whilst they establish. Supplied in approx 7-10 litre containers.
