Pieris japonica ‘variegata’ is a truly stunning evergreen shrub with dark green leaves, contrasted by creamy-white edges. The white margins are usually tinted pink when the leaves are young which has a gorgeous visual effect. This foliage beautifully complements the white flowers that are produced in the spring. Only growing up to 1.5 metres, this is a compact plant which is perfect for smaller gardens, patios or adding to a shrub border.
Grow this plant in well-drained, loam or sandy, acidic soil. It will thrive in full sun or partial shade in a sheltered position.
