Pileostegia viburnoides - Evergreen Climbing Hydrangea

This evergreen, climbing hydrangea is a highly versatile and hardy plant that will give you summer and winter colour. With the ability to self-cling, it can grow up almost any surface and is perfect for planting in a border or bed by a wall or trellis. It also provides autumn interest as dense clusters of small, star shaped creamy white flowers form in late summer. The leathery dark green leaves contrast beautifully against these blooms and remain all year round. Slow growing it can reach heights of 5 metres and spreads of 1.5 metres.

This unique hydrangea is highly adaptable, able to grow under any level of sun exposure thriving in full sun, full shade, and partial shade. It can be placed in exposed or sheltered gardens and can establish in any soil as long as it is well-drained.
