Polemonium caeruleum Brise D'Anjou a wonderful form of Jacob’s ladder cultivar that features variegated foliage.
It is a naturally occurring chance discovery, found by a British nuseryman growing by the side of a road near a plant nursery in Brissac-Quince, France whilst on his holidays. Immediately recognising the unqiueness of the plant, a deal was quickly done with the nursery, and the rest as they say is history!
The leaves of this stunning plant are a bright green variegated with creamy margins. Cup-shaped, violet-blue flowers appear in spring.
Brise D'Anjou means Breeze of Anjou, Anjou being a former French county and type of wine!
