Also known as Solanum laxum alba, or Potato vine, this plant produces fragrant, star-shaped, white flowers with tiny, yellow centres from June to September and glossy, dark green leaves.
This jasmine-scented evergreen to semi-evergreen climber is valuable for covering sheltered walls or for growing through other shrubs or climbers. The tiny purple-black autumn berries contrast well with the decorative seed-heads of late flowering clematis. Not one to grow if children with wandering hands are around, as the plant is harmful if eaten, and those berries can be oh-so-tempting to tiny hands.
Large vigorous plants, in flower in season, supplied in approx 1.5 litre containers.
