Cherry Tree - Summer Sun Patio (Gisela 5)
Availability: Out of stock
Bring a burst of sweetness to your garden with the Cherry Tree ‘Summer Sun’, a compact, self-fertile variety ideal for patios and smaller spaces. In early spring, it delights with a cloud of delicate white blossom, welcoming pollinators and setting the stage for a summer treat. By mid to late July, the tree is heavy with deep red, glossy cherries. These berries are perfect for eating fresh, baking, or preserving.
With its neat, upright habit and lush green foliage, this ornamental fruit tree adds elegance to modern courtyards, cottage-style gardens, or even balcony planters. It thrives in a sunny or sheltered spot and prefers well-drained, fertile soil. Regular watering, especially in dry spells, and a yearly prune to maintain shape and encourage fruiting are all it needs. Low-maintenance yet highly rewarding, the Summer Sun cherry is a must-have for any home grower wanting fresh fruit without fuss.
Supplied in approx. 12 litre containers grafted on a Gisela rootstock. This semi-dwarfing cherry variety produces smaller trees with an ultimate height of 3m. Trees are easily maintained at a manageable size, if planting multiples, plant in loamy, fertile soil around 2.7m apart.
