Originating from Andalusia, Spain, the Huevo de Toro tomato is famed for its massive, heart-shaped fruits weighing 300–600 grams, with some exceeding 1 kg. Its juicy, fleshy texture and rich, sweet flavour make it a favourite for fresh consumption, salads, and gazpacho. This tomato variety requires sturdy support and benefits from pruning to encourage airflow.
Plant in full sun, in fertile, well-drained soil, spacing 50–60 cm apart. Regular watering and feeding will ensure a bountiful harvest.
Supplied in approx 9cm pots.
