Typhas or Bulrushes are common in many water side settings in the UK but many are big plants that need to be planted in a larger landscape. This minima dwarf variety however is a perfect pond plant for a smaller garden space. Its reed like leaves reach up to sixty centimetres and are spreading by nature. Between July and August brown oblong flower and seed heads are produced and hover about the foliage, they are numerous and make for an impressive display. Plant these Typhas in small groups on a pond margin with its roots submerged in around ten centimetres of water.
