Zinnia elegans 'Meteor' is a striking heirloom annual producing large, fully double blooms in rich crimson-red shades for your summer garden. The densely layered, dahlia-like flowers create a bold splash of colour in borders, cottage gardens and cutting plots, while their long-lasting blooms are highly attractive to bees, butterflies and other beneficial pollinators. Excellent for fresh flower arrangements, 'Meteor' provides reliable summer performance.
Growing to around 75cm+ in height, this vigorous variety flowers continuously with regular deadheading and benefits from occasional watering during prolonged dry periods. Tall stems may appreciate light support in exposed locations. Plant in full sun and fertile, well-drained soil for the best results. Pair with cosmos and nigella for a brilliant display of contrasting bedding and pollinator-friendly interest.
