Zinnia elegans - Polar Bear

Zinnia elegans 'Polar Bear' is a stunning heirloom annual producing large, fully double blooms in pure snowy white throughout summer. The impressive dahlia-like flowers are carried on strong upright stems above lush green foliage, creating a bright and elegant display in borders, cutting gardens and cottage-style planting schemes. Exceptionally long-lasting as cut flowers, the blooms are highly attractive to bees, butterflies and other pollinators throughout summer.

Growing to around 75cm+ in height, this vigorous variety flowers continuously with regular deadheading and benefits from occasional watering during prolonged dry periods. Tall stems may appreciate light support in exposed locations. Plant in full sun and fertile, well-drained soil for the best results. Pair with cosmos and nigella for a brilliant display of contrasting bedding and pollinator-friendly interest.
