Clematis 'Nelly Moser'

Clematis 'Nelly Moser' is one of the most popular large-flowered clematis varieties, admired for its spectacular pale pink blooms, each beautifully highlighted by a bold rose-pink central stripe and rich burgundy stamens. Flowering profusely from late spring to early summer, with a reliable second flush in late summer, this elegant climber brings months of colour to walls, fences, arches and trellises. Reaching up to 2–3m in height, it is ideal for smaller gardens, patios and containers, while its nectar-rich flowers are loved by pollinators.

Plant 'Nelly Moser' in fertile, moist but well-drained soil with its roots kept cool and shaded, while allowing the stems to climb into full sun or light shade. Water regularly during dry periods and prune lightly after the first flowering, with a harder prune in late winter if required (Pruning Group 2). Pair with other climbing plants for a classic garden display, while underplanting with Hostas helps keep the roots cool and enhances the overall planting scheme.
