The Acer palmatum dissectum 'Firecracker' is a magnificent Japanese Maple known for its finely cut, lace-like leaf, which emerges in brilliant crimson-red and deepens to burgundy throughout the season. In the autumn, the leaves turn blazing scarlet, producing a stunning seasonal spectacle. Its beautiful, cascading habit makes it ideal near a pond, where you can benefit from double the effect as its reflection dances on the water’s surface.

If you don't have a water feature, then use it to enhance any garden borders or stylish patio planter. With its mound forming growth, Firecracker makes a perfect focal point.

Easy to grow, preferring partial shade or full sun, simply plant in moist but well drained soil.  Water regularly, especially during dry months, and mulch once a year to keep it happy. Prune sparingly, if at all, in late winter to keep its form.

Supplied in approx. 4-5 litre nursery containers, at around 75-100cm tall.

Why not add one of our stylish Grosvenor planters to get the look pictured?
