Geum borisii is a lovely tangerine coloured harder avens plant.

Small, semi-double, upward facing, bright mango-orange blooms with yellow anthers dance on slender stalks above basal rosettes of fuzzy, pinnately divided leaves. These leaves are evergreen in all but the coldest areas. The main blooming period is late spring through early summer, but it will continue to bloom sporadically throughout the summer if deadheaded. Their colour impact is visible from quite a distance.

The small stature of this perennial makes it an excellent choice for edging, containers, or rock gardens. Easy to grow and underused in today's gardens, the colour is trending this year, and it is sure to be more widely planted.

Geum adapts well to both hot summers and cold winters without complaint, and will survive in virtually any garden and position except the deepest shade under trees.

Supplied in approx. 1 litre containers full of buds and flowers in season.

Great flowers

Bought these a couple years ago, they come up each May and stay in bloom for a long time and this is in Scotland where summers aren't always hot. They grow where a lot of other plants simply won't so these have been a great buy.

The primary intended use of this plant is to grow food for human consumption.

There are thousands of different plant species that can be consumed, and our extensive range is no exception. We have conveniently listed a large number of edible plants here. Additionally, we have compiled several articles and handy recipes for some of the plants you are less likely to find in supermarkets.

We always recommend conducting your own research before consuming any plant to understand the various ways different varieties can be prepared and consumed. Be mindful of potential allergies when trying anything new and ensure it is suitable for all who may be consuming it.

Some plants or varieties can also be cultivated as animal feed for livestock, such as poultry, game, and livestock reared for consumption. Again, we advise doing your own research to select the most appropriate plants for your livestock.
