'Totally Tropical', this striking, winter-hardy 'architectural' palm makes a superb feature and will add a sunny 'desert island' feel to your patio for years to come!

This is a great time to add drama to your garden and bring in a Mediterranean flavour with one of our large palms, supplied nice and strong in containers with a total height of around 150-180cms (circa 5-6ft) tall.

Amazing but true, 'Phoenix Canariensis' will be perfectly at home in our climate and will quite happily cope with temperatures as low as -6 degrees C.

Often seen in the Canary Islands and mainland Spain, with its wonderful deep green, leaves wafting in the sea breeze, the Canary Island Date Palm is a truly magical exotic that will look just as spectacular on your patio in a pot or planted into your garden.

Canary palms

I just want to thank Gardening Express for the fantastic service and my 2 beautiful palms. They are so large and attractive I have to pinch myself every time I go into my garden. I have repotted
them both with large pots with 50L of Multipurpose compost and 35L of John Innes no 3 Mature plant compost in each container. I felt a bit out of my depth at first but I watered the roots and just planted and watered them again. Large pots make them even more spectacular. Highly recommended, they are fantastic! Thank you.

Stunning palms to add to the collection

These were the first plants I ordered from here and was a little bit disappointed when they first arrived as I was expecting something a bit bigger and bushy but still worth the price. I've had them now for about 4 months and now brought them inside for the winter and they look great in the living room but I've also put extra lighting on them for the next few month but they suddenly started shooting up

Excellent value

I was a bit sceptical about what I would receive for the price and in a Postal delivery, but these arrived in really good condition and once unwrapped and repotted have really taken off. Great statement pieces and a fab addition to our garden.
