Geranium sanguineum

Geranium sanguineum, often known as Bloody Cranesbill, is a hardy, low-maintenance perennial that blooms bright magenta-pink from late spring to early autumn. The deep lobed, dark green foliage provides year-round appeal. Its spreading tendency makes it a superb ground cover, ideal for filling gaps in borders or trailing across walls. It is popular with pollinators, attracting bees and butterflies to the garden.

It thrives in full sun to light shade and well-drained soil. Perfect for borders, rock gardens, and cottage gardening. Low maintenance, cut back after flowering to stimulate a second flush of blossoms. Drought-tolerant once planted, making it ideal for low-maintenance landscapes. Divide every few years to keep vigour.
