Availability: Out of stock

Called the Golden Bamboo, Phyllostachys aureosulcata 'Aureocaulis' is a visually arresting and adaptable species of bamboo valued for its vivid golden-yellow canes with a characteristic green groove. This fast-growing plant, which can grow up to 8 metres tall, is a great option for making a screen or hedge that can quickly fill a garden with visual interest and privacy.

'Aureocaulis' is best planted in a sunny or partly shaded spot and prefers moist, well-drained soil. It's crucial to water the plant thoroughly and add a significant quantity of organic matter to the soil when it is first planted, particularly during dry times. Even though it is usually resilient, it could need protection from harsh frosts in really cold areas.

Supplied in approx. 1.5-2.5 Litre containers.
