Wisteria sinensis Prolific - Blue Climbing Wisteria
Availability: In stock
This variety of common Wisteria is easily distinguished by its abundant spring flowering and its re-flowering in June and July. It bears flowers and bunches similar to the typical wisteria species, but fuller and more abundant. True to its name, its display of lavender-blue flowers appears year after year, and its attractive foliage provides lasting interest throughout summer before turning golden in autumn. The Wisteria originated in countries such as China, Japan, Korea, and America.
Not only will this rustic shrub withstand the toughest of winters, but it is also gifted with resistance to most pests and diseases. Prune twice a year to maintain shape and promote reliable flowering. The branches of these exuberant plants twist around their support like a liana, which makes them ideal for embellishing walls, gates, fences, pergolas, railings, bannisters, and pillars, or even leaving them to climb and twist themselves around the trunks and branches of other trees. This adaptable climbing shrub will also grow harmoniously on its own. In any case, it makes a perfect plant for the most modern to the most traditional of gardens.
Supplied in approx. 1 litre containers.
