Seaside Garden Plants
Coastal gardens are characterised by strong winds, fast-draining soils and salty air presenting a challenge for gardeners, but our selection of coastal plants can handle these tricky conditions. Seaside gardens can be created anywhere; you can create your own coastal garden by adding coastal plants, gravel, a splash of colour, and some reclaimed sea-washed artefacts.
Seaside plants tend to have waxy leaves or needle-type foliage that can cope with poor soils, salty sea air and windy conditions. They are lovely to explore, photograph and enjoy all year round. Browse of selection of evergreen shrubs, deciduous shrubs and herbaceous perennials all suited to deal with difficult growing conditions.
